I Dream a World’
Dream is not what you see in sleep. Dream is something
that does not let you sleep…. Dr
Abdul Kalam had rightly said these words
Introduction: - I,
Namya Joshi, have composed this poem ‘ I Dream a World’ written
by Martin Luther and improvised by Langston Hughes
If flowers were
only one color, would you grow them?
If markers were
only one color, would you color with them?
If the world was
only one color, would you live in it?
There would be no
more pinks and purples for little girls to make their dream princess dresses.
There would be no
more blues for boys as their favourite color.
Do you want to
live in a world where there is no diversity?
Do you want to
live in a world where everything stays the same and there is no change?
I don’t;
I dream to live in
a world where everybody is equal
And everybody
works as one no matter what the color of their skin is.
I dream a world
where man
No other man will
scorn,
Where love will
bless the earth
And peace its
paths adorn
I dream a world
where all
Will know sweet
freedom's way,
Where greed no
longer saps the soul
Nor avarice
blights our day.
A world I dream
where black or white,
Whatever race you
be,
Will share the
bounties of the earth
And every man is
free,
Where wretchedness
will hang its head
And joy, like a
pearl,
Attends the needs
of all mankind-
Of such I dream,
my world!
I have dream that
we Dare To Dream and Fulfill them also.
All the rich and
poor will one day come together
and form a
beautiful creation just like the colorful rainbow.
Conclusion:
Believe me that day will come and my dream will come true. It might not
be today; it might not be tomorrow. But, someday…someday, someday… I have
dreamt to make this world a beautiful place….. Have you?
